MUSTILL STORE MUSEUM
Step inside a restored 19th‑century supply store where Akron’s canal era comes to life through stories, artifacts, and hands‑on history.
The Museum is open seasonally on weekends and for special events, and is generously run on volunteer power. You are invited to join our history and nature-loving team for friendship and relaxing fun. Learn some of our history here.

EMMA'S GIFT SHOP
Lovingly named after Emma Mustill, the gift shop reveals a quaint, curated selection of canal and event inspired gifts, memory‑making items, and snacks for the trail.

DOGS WELCOME
Shady paths, open greens, and towpath trail access make Cascade Locks Park a favorite spot for four‑legged friends.

OH & ERIE TOWPATH TRAIL
Walk, run, or ride on this beloved regional trail that connects neighborhoods, nature, and history — and runs right through our park.
Hop on at either the Beech Street or Mustill Store Trailheads and you’ll witness the cascading waters of the canal between downtown and our natural gateway to the north.

SUMMIT BIKE SHARE
Grab a bike and roll straight onto the Towpath Trail for a scenic ride through the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley.
Bicycles are free to rent during museum store hours and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

GUIDED WALKING TOURS
Explore canal and cultural history of Akron’s Cascade Valley with our friendly, knowledgeable volunteer guides.

JAZZ ON THE TRAIL
All are welcome to our free, live outdoor jazz performances on the fourth Sunday of the summer months. Our musical guests transform the Mustill Store’s back yard into a stage and a summer evening hangout thanks to our partners on the Rubber City Jazz team. Learn more here.

LOVE IN THE PARK
A naturally beautiful, historic setting where couples can celebrate their day along the canal, surrounded by gardens, waters, and the timeless charm of the Mustill Store Museum.
The Akron Municipal Court hosts a day for weddings on the canal. You may also book a ceremony through our neighbors, The Trailhead at Cascade.
