ART ON THE CANAL
Visual artistic expression grows directly from the stories that shaped the landscape. The mill interpretation reminds visitors of the power of water — the force that drove industry, innovation, and the early development of Akron. That same sense of momentum carries into the park’s creative expression today.
Paintings highlight the neighborhood’s cultural heartbeat, including works inspired by the jazz history that once defined nearby Howard Street. Sculpture reflects themes of leadership, community, and resilience; all offering moments of reflection among the green spaces.
