“Puttin’ on the Ritz"

We are “Puttin’ on the Ritz” with a stellar lineup of Jazz artists this year! We have Evelyn Wright, a popular Cleveland Jazz vocalist, backed up by Dan Wilson, Jr. and Jack Schantz, coordinator of Jazz Studies from U of A. Akron Jazz group, “Fhloism” will open.

Come for dinner and drinks, enjoy the show, and take a chance at winning a week in Hilton Head with four rounds of golf every day, golf packages from a local country club, or tickets for a group train ride on Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, complete with food, drinks and a Jazz trio. Proceeds support our work in the development of the Cascade Locks Park. Check Out Hot Jazz 2008!

Cascade Locks Park, a Heritage Park for Akron's Future, offers a unique opportunity to celebrate our industrial, commercial and cultural heritage and reclaim a bit of long abandoned and abused urban geography into an outdoor laboratory for environmental education, historic interpretation and community recreation.
